MorseIQ — Hazard Data & Sources

Validation Coverage Matrix

Every hazard type MorseIQ recognizes, and how each one is independently double-checked against outside data — cross-referencing other alert networks, or looking for the physical signature in satellite imagery. Status reflects what is actually working today, not just planned.

Code Label Domain Status Cross-source feeds Satellite method Match radius Max latency Confidence weights Rationale
Working — an active cross-reference against another alert source, or a satellite detector that's live today Planned — a method has been identified for this hazard, but isn't built yet Not applicable — this hazard resolves too quickly, or too locally, for any outside source or satellite image to confirm it in time
Status reflects what's confirmed working against the current system, checked and kept up to date as new detection methods go live.

Every country below lists all the sources covering it — its national alerting channel(s) plus two worldwide overlays layered over every country: a global disaster-monitoring feed, and the World Health Organization's disease outbreak reporting. Covering each place with more than one source is deliberate: a source that goes quiet becomes obvious against the others, and when multiple sources report the same event independently, we can trust it more.

Countries we don’t cover yet

National weather agencies for these countries exist, but we can't yet pull reliable alerts from them — either the feed's format isn't one our system can read, or no public feed exists at all.
